Seit es dieses umstrittene Modell in Baden-Württemberg gibt, ging die Bewerbungszahl ausländischer Studieninteressierter merkbar zurück, insbesondere der Anteil von Studierenden aus afrikanischen Staaten nahm ab. Auch in NRW gab es vergleichbare Pläne, die nach Kritik des LandesAstenTreffens NRW nicht weiter verfolgt wurden.</span></p>

Das Land Niedersachsen würde Nicht-EU-Ausländer*innen mit Studiengebühren strukturell diskriminieren. Dass etwa die Hälfte der Nicht-EU-Ausländer*innen nach ihrem Studium Deutschland verlassen, liegt dem Sachverständigenrat nach unter anderem an Erfahrungen von struktureller Diskriminierung. </span></p>

In ihr arbeiten lokale Vertretungen gemeinsam zu landespolitischen Themen. Die LAK Niedersachsen wird zu Gesetzesnovellierungen angehört und ist Gesprächspartner für Politik, Presse und andere Verbände auf Landesebene.</span></p>
